Awesome!

C2_Awesome!

This picture reflects the sheer magnitude and awesome character of God. Splashes of colour reflect His creativity and incomprehensible knowledge revealed throughout creation. Featured is a yellow triangle representing God in three forms- the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” (Genesis 1:1-3, NLT)

Fire

C3_Holy_Fire

This picture shows a pillar of fire- God’s tangible presence as revealed to the Israelites as they journeyed through the wilderness.“By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.” (Exodus 13:21, NIV)

Wisdom

C5_Wisdom

This picture seeks to make the distinction between God’s wisdom and the shortcomings of human reasoning and logic.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

Knows Every Detail

C12_Knows_Every_Detail
Showed in the picture are strands of hair of which the Almighty knows and counts each one (knots and all!).  This represents just how much God knows and cares about each person to whom He has created.

“…the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” (Luke 12:7 NLT).

Flight

This picture of the monarch butterfly represents three levels of ‘being’- body, mind and spirit. Viewing in daylight represents the material world and body- what you see is what you get. Viewed under ultraviolet light, this is the mind- the aqua is what is right (according to God), and the red/orange are the things that look good but are deceptively bad.

Holding Together

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Viewed under ultraviolet light, aqua circles resemble atoms and particles- the basic building blocks of life.  This is an analogy of God being everywhere, evident in all creation and holding everything together by His power.  The red/orange represents the sin-filled fallen world that ‘masks’ the evidence of God in creation. However, portions are still evident, as nothing can completely hide God’s glory. Viewed in the dark (glow in the dark) the faint, the partially obscured aqua (evidence of God) is now visible. This is like ‘seeing’ indirect evidence of God in circumstances and in creation.

“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:16-17, NIV)
