This installation requires the audience to look through a small peephole at the top resulting in a limited view of the image below. The purpose of this is to illustrate the limitation of the human mind to ‘see’ and understand the things of God and to instead adopt a child-like faith.
“Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.” (Psalm 139:6, ESV)
‘”Truly I tell you,” He said, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.’ (Matthew 13:3, NIV)
Hi There! This is the finished installation work I made in a small project space at uni which was an assignment involving spacial awareness and how the audience reacts to artwork within a specific a room. It was quite difficult to photograph so I took multiple shots and photoshoped them together!. I based the theme of the work around the question “Why have faith in God?” This installation shows is a visual way, the spiritual journey people with faith experience that cannot physically be seen. Despite all having different life experiences (arrows) they all come to the same place- the uv light which represents God.
