Awesome!

C2_Awesome!

This picture reflects the sheer magnitude and awesome character of God. Splashes of colour reflect His creativity and incomprehensible knowledge revealed throughout creation. Featured is a yellow triangle representing God in three forms- the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” (Genesis 1:1-3, NLT)

Fire

C3_Holy_Fire

This picture shows a pillar of fire- God’s tangible presence as revealed to the Israelites as they journeyed through the wilderness.“By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.” (Exodus 13:21, NIV)

Invisible Made Visable

C4_Invisible_Made_Visible

White dotted lines in the picture symbolise the invisible work of God happening behind the scenes. The multi-coloured stripe represents Jesus- God in a tangible form

“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation. (Colossians 1:15, NLT)

Wisdom

C5_Wisdom

This picture seeks to make the distinction between God’s wisdom and the shortcomings of human reasoning and logic.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

Humility and Service

C13_Humility1

The orange spheres in the picture symbolise everyday people and a golden cloud represents God in heaven. This represents Jesus as He took on a plain human appearance. The cloud touching Jesus illustrates His perfect relationship Father God.

…He gave up His divine privileges he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form, He humbled Himself in obedience to God…” (Philippians 2:7-8, NLT)

Grace

C14_Grace

Paint splashes and golden flakes in this picture show creation as it celebrates and praises God. This is also the human response after finding hope in Jesus.  He freely offers grace and forgiveness to those who humble themselves and repent of their evil ways.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:23-24, NIV)
