In Him I Take Refuge

F2_In Him I take Refuge

The white umbrella represents protection God grants to those who seek and call upon His name in times of trouble. It takes inspirations from the words of Psalm 91- “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust”… He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge…. (Psalm 91)

Strength Restored

This painting illustrates how seeking God and resting in him can work like a tonic for both the physical and mentally weary. His presence and peace can give courage and strength in darkest of times. Jesus said “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). King David described God as the one “who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s…”(Psalm 103:5, NIV) and in a time of great angish it is written that: “… David found strength in the LORD his God”(1 Samuel 3:6, NIV).
