Walk of Faith

F3_Walk of faith

The red terrain at the bottom of the painting represents the rough and unpredictable journey of life. The white ladders represent the opportunity for a person to seek God in both the good and the bad times. There are two ladders (white); one during the good times and one during the bad times. As the distance of the ladder suggests, it is easier to climb the shorter ladder (in the good times) than the longer ladder (in the hard times). The ladders lead to the white line across the top, which represents the perspective of trusting God, seeing situations from a biblical perspective. When this path is chosen, the words of the bible become an encouragement and basis for hope and persistence. (2 Corinthians 4:18 & Hebrews 12)

Walking on Water

F4_Walking on Water_edited

This picture shows the perspective of Peter as he walked on water toward Jesus. The story tells of Peter’s battle between faith and doubt when he sank and cried out for Jesus to save him. This really captures the nature of the human mind and the believer’s constant conflict between faith and logic of doubt. However, it is an encouraging story that shows God’s grace and mercy in the midst of failure. (Matthew 14:25-31)
